Solo Byzantine Fault Tolerance

solo

The user only needs one node to build DREP private network and the process is also very simple. Obtain binary file and its configuration file, and put the configuration files into the system default path. The storage location of configuration file varies by system, as shown below.

  • Linux

Download the executable from here,select linux-64.zip,decompression it ,place binary under the directory: /usr/local/bin,

Place the configuration files(linux-64/configFile/private-net/solo) under ~/.drep 。Start the node using command: ./drep console

  • Windows

Download the executable from here,select win-64.zip,decompression it.Place the configuration files(win-64/configFile/private-net/solo) under the directory: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Drep,Open the command-line interface (cmd.exe), navigate intothe directory at which the executable is placed.Start the node using command: drep.exe console

  • mac

Download the executable from here,select mac-64.zip,decompression it.Place the configuration files(linux-64/configFile/private-net/solo) under the directory: ~/Library/Application Support/Drep.Place drep under the directory /usr/bin .Start the node using command: drep console
